Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Little Promises (the “Service”), operated by Little Promises (“we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service

Little Promises lets you build a small “coupon book” of personal promises, seal it behind a secret code, and share it so someone can open and redeem it. A free book holds up to three promises; a premium book unlocks more promises and premium themes for a one-time fee shown before checkout.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live) to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Your content

You keep ownership of the names, notes, and promises you add (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate the Service — for example, to show the coupon book to the person you send it to. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to share it.

Anyone with the gift link or secret code may be able to view the coupon book. Keep the code private and do not include information you would not want the recipient, or someone they share it with, to see.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
  • send harassing, hateful, deceptive, sexually explicit, exploitative, or unsafe content;
  • impersonate someone else or send unsolicited spam; or
  • probe, disrupt, overload, or attempt to bypass the security or rate limits of the Service.

Premium & payments

Premium is a one-time charge per gift, processed by Stripe. The price is shown before you pay and may include or exclude taxes depending on your location and Stripe checkout settings. Premium content for a gift becomes available once payment is completed.

Premium gifts are digital content, delivered as soon as your payment completes. Before checkout we ask you to consent to that immediate delivery and to acknowledge that you thereby lose your 14-day right to cancel, which is what the law requires us to obtain before supplying digital content inside the cancellation period. We record that consent and confirm it on your receipt. This does not affect your rights if a gift is faulty, is not as described, or never arrives, and nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be waived. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

Printed books

You can also order a printed hardback of a book you have made ($44.99, postage included). This is a physical product and the terms below are specific to it; everything else on this page applies to it as well.

  • Made to order. Each book is printed and bound for you, carrying your recipient’s name and the promises you wrote. Nothing is printed until you pay.
  • Despatch. We aim to despatch within 10 days of your order and will email you when it goes. That window is our target, not a guaranteed delivery date — carriers and customs are outside our control.
  • Delivery details are yours to get right. We post to the address you give at checkout. If it is wrong, email us at once — we can usually still change it before printing starts, and not at all afterwards.
  • Risk stays with us until it arrives. If a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, that is ours to put right, not yours.
  • If something is wrong with the book. Damaged, misprinted or incomplete: we reprint or refund in full. This is a legal obligation and it is not waivable — see the Refund Policy.
  • Changing your mind. Printed books are made to order and personalised with your recipient's name and your own promises, so the 14-day right to change your mind does not apply once printing has begun. This does not affect your rights if a book arrives damaged, misprinted or not at all — in those cases we reprint or refund in full.
  • We use a printer. Printing and posting are carried out by a print-on-demand partner, who receives your delivery details in order to send you the book. See the Privacy Policy.

A printed book includes the digital version of the same book at no extra charge, so the premium terms above apply to that half of the order.

Consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights that cannot legally be limited or waived in your country, state, or province.

Promises are personal, not contracts

The “promises” in a coupon book are a personal gesture between you and your recipient. They are not legally binding obligations, and we are not responsible for whether a promise is kept.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its name, design, and software, belongs to Little Promisesand is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our branding except as needed to use the Service normally.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that gifts will always be available.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Little Promises will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the gift in question (if any). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Termination

We may suspend or remove gifts or restrict access if these Terms are breached or to protect the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service at any time.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, and disputes will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction, unless your local law gives you other mandatory rights.

Changes

We may update these Terms. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to let you know. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
